Centennial Celebration
Starting with the Normal Nine in 1914, athletics at Kent State University has long been a model of excellence and an integral part of campus life. As the department celebrates KSU’s Centennial along with the rest of the University community, it is hard to ignore the impact of the outstanding teams and individual student-athletes who have provided too many memorable moments to count – both during their time in Kent and beyond. Recognized not only as one of the top comprehensive programs in the Mid-American Conference, but in the nation, the Kent State Department of Athletics has a proud history, rich with tradition. The department will host a variety of events in celebration of the Centennial, designed to engage students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members as it looks towards another 100 years of championship-caliber performance.
