In the summer of 2011, Alex Walker assumed his
duties as an assistant athletic trainer with Kent State University.
Not new to the Golden Flashes, Walker was a graduate assistant
athletic trainer for two years at Kent State while earning a
Master's of the Arts in Exercise, Leisure and Sport, Foundations in
Leadership Administration with a concentration in Athletic
Training. During his time at Kent State, Alex worked with the
Flashes wrestling and football teams, attending the 2010 and 2011
NCAA Wrestling Championships.
Walker received his Bachelor's degree in athletic training from
The Ohio State University in 2008 after serving as an athletic
training student. Upon graduation, Walker had a year-long
internship as an athletic trainer with the Ohio State football team
for the 2008 season.
A member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association, Walker
also holds membership with the Great Lakes Athletic Trainer's
Association and the Ohio Athletic Trainer's Association. He is also
CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
Walker resides in Kent, Ohio.
