Four Flashes Represent No. 11 Women's Golf at Silver Lake Shootout

KENT, Ohio – The No. 11 Kent State women's golf team will compete for the final time this fall in the 36-hole Silver Lake Shootout Monday, Oct. 24, at Silver Lake Country Club.
The tournament will be held at the site of the 2017 Mid-American Conference Championship, hosted by Kent State. The tournament features five MAC opponents in Akron, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Ohio, and Western Michigan.
Kent State will not be sending its normal lineup, but instead four separate golfers to compete as individuals. Representing the Golden Flashes are Ellen Breighner, Julia Goodson, Kasey Nielsen and Kelly Nielsen.
The event will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Live scoring will not be provided, but KentStateSports.com will have a recap at the conclusion of the tournament.
