Korinek Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

Kent State's Jordan Korinek was named to the 2015-16 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's Basketball team for her performance on the court and in the classroom.
The sophomore special education major has a perfect 4.0 grade-point average while leading the team in scoring and rebounding this season by averaging 15.7 and 6.5, respectively. Korinek currently ranks 7th in the conference in scoring, 14th in rebounding, 4th in field goal percentage, 5th in free throw percentage, 15th in offensive rebounds and 12th in defensive rebounds.
Korinek is Kent State's first CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree since Trisha Krewson in 2012. She is one of six students from District 5 that will now be considered for Academic All-America.
