Flashes Eye First Road Win as They Travel to Miami

The Golden Flashes (4-15, 1-8) will try to grab their first road win of the season at Miami (8-11, 2-6) this Wednesday in a 7 p.m. game.

Lurken Honored as MAC East Player of the Week
• Larissa Lurken was named the MAC East Player of the Week on Monday, as voted on by all conference head coaches
• In the team's win over Northern Illinois, she tied the Kent State single-game record for made three-pointers with seven. Her 37 points on thenight tied for the 8th most in a game in Kent State history
• She followed with a 11 point, nine rebound performance on Saturday against Western Michigan to earn the accolade
• In her career, Lurken is currently ranked 4th all-time in makes and attempts at 132-of-411
• The Kent State career records stand at 160 makes and 510 attempts, both held by Cathy Carroll who played 1991-1994
Leading the Way
• Jordan Korinek and Lurken have led the team in scoring in 17 out of 19 games, with Korinek being the top scorer in 11 and Lurken in six
• Korinek ranks 9th in the MAC in scoring, 4th in field goal percentage and 5th in free throw percentage
• Naddiyah Cross is 10th in assists
• Alexa Golden and Lurken both rank 10th in steals
February Weekends
• The Golden Flashes play at home for four consecutive Saturdays, taking on teams on home court every Saturday in the month of February
• All four of the team's wins have come at the M.A.C. Center this season
• This Saturday is a 5 p.m. tip against Toledo with the men's team also taking on the Rockets following the women's game
• February 13th is the annual Play4Kay game which helps raise money for breast cancer research in conjunction with all teams across women's basketball
