
Throwers Compete for the Flashes on Day One of the Yellow Jacket Relays

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kent State track and field teams saw Gabrielle Figueroa, Rebecca Leppelmeier, and Reggie Jagers compete in the hammer throw at the Yellow Jackets Relays on Friday, March 25th.
Figueroa finished sixth in the women's competition with a mark of 55.43m (181' 10"), which moves her passed Effua Ampadu (181' 7", 2006) for seventh in program history. Following up Figueroa in seventh place was Leppelmeier with a mark of 54.17m (177' 9"), which moves her from tenth in program history, up to ninth.
On the men's side, Jagers claimed the fourth spot overall with a heave of 58.72m (192' 8").
The action from Atlanta, Ga. resumes Saturday, March 26th at 10:30am with the shot put and the javelin.
