Kent State Returns Home to Murphy-Mellis This Weekend

Field hockey (4-1) returns to action at Murphy-Mellis Field this weekend as they are slated to take on Monmouth (4-0) Friday at noon and No. 19 Iowa (3-1) Sunday at noon.

Monmouth
• Kent State is 1-0 all-time against Monmouth, beating the Hawks 5-1 at a neutral site in 2013
• The Hawks have yet to lose this season as they have beat VCU, Lehigh, Lafayette and Georgetown
Iowa
• Kent State is 1-7 all-time against Iowa
• The Flashes traveled to Iowa City last season where they fell 7-1
• The lone win came at Kent in 2010 in a 3-1 game

Familiar Faces
• Monmouth's head coach Carli Figlio graduated from Kent State in 2005 as she suited up for the Golden Flashes and was a captain 2002-2004
