Three New MAC West Foes to Take on Flashes in 2018

The Mid-American Conference recently released Kent State's home and away conference opponents for the 2018 football season. With its non-conference schedule already in place, the Golden Flashes have a full slate of opponents set for 2018. Conference game dates will be announced at a later time.

Kent State will be taking on Eastern Michigan for the first time since 2012, marking the Eagles first trip to Dix Stadium since 2011. The Flashes will also renew acquaintances with Ball State, who they last played in 2013. The MAC West crossover games will also feature defending MAC champion Toledo making a trip to Kent, Ohio.

The Golden Flashes will play three of their four Saturday non-conference games on the road in 2018, beginning with Illinois on Sept. 1.
Dix Stadium's home opener will follow with a Sept. 8, matchup against Howard. This past season, the Flashes defeated the Bison 38-31.
Penn State will host the Flashes for the fourth time since 2010 on Sept. 15, followed by a first-time program meeting at Ole Miss on Sept. 22.
With the fall semester winding down, Kent State looks toward the NCAA's early signing period Dec. 20-22.
