Phaewchimplee Named MAC Golfer of the Week

CLEVELAND – Kent State University women's golfer Wad Phaewchimplee has been named Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week.
Phaewchimplee led the No. 10 Golden Flashes in a near championship performance last week at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic. The senior guided the Flashes to a second-place finish in a field that included six top-25 teams. The Flashes were one stroke off the leaders in the end.
Phaewchimplee recorded her second straight top-12 finish of the spring season and continued her run of steady, successful play. All three rounds were within two strokes of par, extending her run to eight straight rounds of 74 or better. That streak includes her last two outings of the fall season. She now holds an adjusted scoring average of 72.88 and is sitting just outside of the national top-100 as an individual.
The Flashes will look towards another solid performance at The Dickson in The Woodlands, Texas.
