Women's Golf Selected as Four Seed in Lubbock Regional

KENT, Ohio – The 15th ranked Kent State University women's golf team is headed to Lubbock, Texas to compete in the NCAA Regional Tournament at the Rawls Course at Texas Tech.Â
The regional tournament is set to be played May 8-10. Other regionals are being played in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Columbus, Ohio and Athens, Georgia.Â
From each of these four regionals, the low six teams and the low three individuals not on those teams (for a total of 24 teams and 12 individuals) advance to the national championships, May 19-24, hosted by Northern Illinois University at Rich Harvest Farms, in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
THE RAWLS COURSE
The Rawls Course is an award-winning facility that is home to the Texas Tech men's and women's golf programs. Completed in September 2003, the 270-acre parcel features an 18-hole championship level course with an 60-acre driving range as well as pitching and chipping areas. The course was most recently named the No. 4 campus course in the country by Golfweek Magazine in September 2016. The NCAA Lubbock Regional will be played with a 72 par and at 6,593 yards.
