KENT, Ohio – Kent State men's basketball outgoing senior Jimmy Hall will compete alongside several NBA prospects at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament April 12-15.
The PIT annually invites 64 of the best seniors from across the nation for a four-day, 12 game tournament. Games will be played in front of representatives from around the NBA. Scouts and general managers have been scouting prospects in Portsmouth for years, with stars competing such as Rick Barry and Earl Monroe to Scottie Pippen and Jimmy Butler.
Hall earned his spot in the 64-man field on the grounds of his all-time great career and Kent State, and his phenomenal senior campaign. He was named an All-Mid-American Conference First Team honoree, as well as an NABC All-District winner. Hall's 683 total points is the most ever at Kent State, while his 383 rebounds is the second most ever in a single season.
Kent State greats Trevor Huffman, Antonio Gates, John Edwards, Al Fisher, Haminn Quaintance and Chris Evans all competed in Portsmouth.
