-Â Â Â Â The Kent State University men's basketball team will play its first Mid-American Conference home game Saturday in a men's and women's basketball doubleheader against the Central Michigan Chippewas.Â
-Â Â Â Â The Flashes enter the game looking to return to the win column after a pair of tough road outings. The Flashes have lost on the road to Albany, 78-68, and Northern Illinois, 75-61, in their previous two outings.Â
-Â Â Â Â However, the Flashes did pick up a win in their last home game in the M.A.C. Center, a marquee victory over the Pac 12's Oregon State, 79-78. Although the score finished as a one-point game, the Flashes led by four in the last few seconds.Â

-Â Â Â Â After traveling to Miami (OH) on Jan. 9 for a midweek game, the Flashes will return home for back-to-back home games against Ohio and Western Michigan.Â
-Â Â Â Â Saturday's game will be the 89th matchup between Kent State and Central Michigan. The Flashes hold a 46-32 record all-time over the Chippewas.
-Â Â Â Â Kent State is 28-10 against Central Michigan at home. Prior to last season, they had not been defeated by them in the M.A.C. Center since Feb. 26, 1997.Â
-Â Â Â Â Central Michigan is 12-2 on the year and winners of 11 of their last 12 games. The program's only losses this season have come at the hands of Michigan by seven and Southern Utah by six. Their top wins have come against Cal St. Bakersfield, Ohio and Montana State.Â
-Â Â Â Â Keno Davis is in year six with Central Michigan, with previous head coaching stops at Providence and Drake.
