
Kent State Places 21 on Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC Teams

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Twenty-one Kent State student-athletes earned Indoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC honors, as the Mid-American Conference recognized a total of 226 student-athletes for their successes in the classroom and in competition on Wednesday.
Senior Sam Tollerud is one of only six student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average. Tollerud and redshirt senior Lauren Burnett both earned their sixth Academic All-MAC honor, while senior Tyler Williams received her fifth honor.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
