
Lacrosse Prepares for Home Contests against Pittsburgh and Robert Morris

The Kent State lacrosse team (4-6, 1-0 MAC) hosts Pittsburgh (2-7, 0-4 ACC) on Tuesday, March 19 at 4 p.m. and Robert Morris (2-8, 1-0 MAC) on Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m. at Dix Stadium.
About the Golden Flashes
The Flashes are coming off a two-game win streak after taking down Saint Francis and Youngstown State in consecutive games. In an 18-12 victory over the Red Flash on Wednesday, Jackie Wolford recorded her 200th career point after scoring three goals and two assists. Wolford also secured the game-winning goal with only seconds remaining against Youngstown State in the Mid-American Conference opener on Sunday. Peyton Gellin secured a game high of eight shots on goal while matching her season high of four goals. In addition, Gellin recorded four draw controls and one caused turnover.
Zayda Crumpton currently leads the Flashes in draw controls (44) and is ranked No. 3 in the MAC for draw controls per game (4.36). Wolford sits at first in the MAC for points per game (4.55) and shots per game (8).
About the Panthers
Pittsburgh comes to Kent on a four-game losing streak, including a 19-10 loss against No. 10 Virginia on Saturday to remain winless in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
Jenna Hendrickson leads the Panthers in goals (20) and goalkeeper Audrey Moran has secured 69 saves on the season.
About the Colonials
Robert Morris earned a 10-9 victory in triple overtime against Akron on Sunday. Jenna Irwin scored her second game-winning goal of the season and is tied for first in goals (15) for the Colonials.
Goalkeeper Sydney Riker is ranked No. 4 in the MAC for saves per game (9). Riker was awarded MAC Defensive Player of the Week in the recent announcement. She registered a career-high 16 saves on 31 shots faced and tallied a game-high five ground balls.

Robert Morris is 7-1 overall against Kent State, including a recent 13-12 win last season at Dix Stadium.
