Baseball Unveils 2025 Schedule

KENT- The Kent State baseball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 campaign. The team is slated to play 54 games, highlighted by 30 Mid-American Conference games and 26 games at Schoonover Stadium.

The season kicks off on Feb. 14 as the Flashes head south to head south to Mobile, Alabama to take on Eastern Kentucky, South Alabama, and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
Weekend two has the Flashes in Macon, Georgia to take on the Mercer Bears for a three-game set, Feb. 21-23. Kent State and Mercer have only met twice before with the Flashes holding a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series, Mercer went 29-29 last season including 17-13 at OrthoGeorgia Park.
The home portion of the 2025 schedule will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 25 as The Ohio State Buckeyes come into town. The two teams were unable to play last year due to weather but split the home-and-home in the 2023 season.
Weekend three will see the Flashes head down to Greenville, N. C. to take on East Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Indiana State. Both East Carolina and Indiana State posted 40-win seasons en route to a NCAA regional appearance.
After the quick road trip, the Flashes return home for a four-game home stand. Kent State hosts Mercyhurst on Tuesday, March 4 before starting MAC play at home against Northern Illinois.
After a trip to Wright State on March 11, Hofstra comes to town for the MAC bye weekend, March 14-16. This will be the first meeting between the Flashes and the Pride. Hofstra is coming off a 24-33 season and went 13-14 in conference play last season.
The Flashes take a day trip over to the steel city for a matchup with Pitt (March 19) before continuing with MAC play on the road in Bowling Green (March 21-23).
Kent State will then return home to the friendly confines of Schoonover Stadium for a two-game midweek series with Oregon (March 25-26) and a weekend series with Toledo (March 28-30).
The Flashes will start the month of April with an eight-game road trip that includes stops at Mercyhurst (April 1), Central Michigan (April 4-6), Ohio State (April 9), and closes against Miami (April 11-13).
Following the two-week road trip the Kent State will return to Schoonover for an eight-game homestand that will feature matchups with Pitt (April 13), Ohio (April 17-19), Youngstown State (April 23), Akron (April 25-27), and wraps up against Pitt-Johnstown (April 29).
Kent State will take a quick trip to Ball State (May 2-4) before return home to face off against Western Michigan (May 9-11). The Flashes will close out the home portion of the schedule on May 13 when Wright State comes into town. The final weekend of the regular season has Kent State taking on Eastern Michigan (May 15-17). The MAC tournament will be the following week, May 21-25, at Crushers Stadium in Avon, Ohio.
