KENT, Ohio - The Kent State University men's basketball team (9-7, 1-2 MAC) will look to claim a road victory Saturday against the Western Michigan Broncos (5-10, 1-2 MAC) at 2 p.m. on ESPN3.

- Kent State has had the upper hand in recent years, winning nine of the last 11 games. On the road, Kent State has won 20 games.
- Last year in Kalamazoo, the Flashes won an overtime battle, 87-84. Jimmy Hall had 21 points and seven rebounds, along with a clutch steal late in regulation that forced overtime.
- Despite a 5-10 record, Western Michigan is coming off a 90-74 win over Toledo. They are 5-1 at home this season.
- Head coach Steve Hawkins is the longest tenured coach in the MAC, coaching in year 14 with the Broncos. He has led the team to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
