Academic Services
Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) offers a variety of support services including tutoring, mentoring and academic counseling to help assist Kent State University student-athletes reach their full academic potential. A staff of academic counselors, learning specialists, and mentors work one on one with student athletes to provide them support in their transition from high school to college and throughout their careers at KSU.
SAAS has two locations, the Academic Resource Center (ARC, located in room 117 of the MAC Center) which houses Athletic Academic Counselors and Compliance Staff.  The George R. Jenkins Student-Athlete Academic Center (The Jenkins Center), an over 5,000 square foot facility which provides a quiet study space, tutoring center, and mentoring area serves over 475 student-athletes across all 19 varsity sports.

- During Spring 2024, KSU student-athletes accomplished the highest cumulative GPA in recorded history (3.368) and highest spring term GPA (3.360)!Â
- Spring 2024 marked the 26th consecutive term of 3.0+ cumulative department GPA and 25th consecutive 3.0+ term GPA
- 60 students (13%) with a perfect 4.0 GPA
- 264 students (59%) with a semester GPA of 3.4 or above
- 340 students (76%) with a semester GPA of 3.0 or above
