Second Half Surge Falls Short as Kent State Falls to Akron in MAC Tournament Semifinals

CLEVELAND - Kent State Men's Basketball's run in the 2026 Mid-American Conference Tournament came to an end Friday night at Rocket Arena, falling to two-seeded Akron 75-68 in the semifinal round. Following a strong first half from the Zips, the three-seeded Golden Flashes closed the gap to a single possession multiple times while UA kept them at arm's length.

Golden Flashes Sweep UMass in Home Opener

KENT – Kent State Softball (10-11) notched a pair of victories over the University of Massachusetts Amherst on Friday in their home opening doubleheader at Devine Diamond. The Golden Flashes walked off the Minuteowomen in game one following it up with a rule-run 14-1 blowout in game two.

Schoony Magic: Flashes Erase Six-Run Deficit in Ninth, Walk Off in 10th to Down Central Michigan 11-10

KENT, Ohio — It wasn't pretty, and for a while it looked like it might not happen at all. But in the end, Schoonover Stadium delivered another dose of Schoony Magic on Friday afternoon, as the Kent State Golden Flashes rallied from six runs down in the bottom of the ninth inning and walked off Central Michigan 11-10 in ten innings to improve to 13-4 overall and 3-1 in MAC play.

Kent State Lacrosse Begins MAC Play With Trip To Eastern Michigan

Ypsilanti, MICH - The Kent State Lacrosse team will begin Mid-American Conference play on the road on Saturday as they travel to Ypsilianti to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Saturday at 1 P.M.
