Record-setting performances in the women's 100-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay highlighted a big day on the track as Kent State completed weekend competition at the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational and the Ashland Alumni Open.
Kent State sprinter Amryne Chilton ran a record-setting time of 23.06 seconds to win the women's 200-meter dash on Friday at the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational. The Golden Flashes also had athletes in action at the Ashland Alumni Open.
The Kent State track and field teams will close the month of April with student-athletes scheduled to compete at the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational from Thursday through Saturday and the Ashland Alumni Open on Friday and Saturday.
