
ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY
Kent State University sponsors 19Â varsity sports - eight men's programs and 11 women's. The purpose of the Athletic Communications Department at Kent State is disseminate information on all 19 of those sports, the coaching staff and the student-athletes as well as all members of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
The Athletic Communications offices includes Assistant AD for Athletic Communications Josh Padilla (Football, Baseball), Associate Director Jay Fiorello (Women's Basketball, I/O Track and Field, Volleyball, Cross Country), Assistant Director Kellan Godfrey (Men's Basketball, Softball, Social Media), Broadcast Coordinator Dane Richardson and graduate assistants Miles Garrison (Field Hockey, Gymnastics, M/W Golf), Jackson Lawrence (Soccer, Wrestling, Lacrosse), Will Ridenhour (graphics), Andrea Filote (external, social media) and Jay Graham (photography).
GAME SERVICES
Game notes and record books are available in .pdf form on the www.kentstatesports.com website. Printed material can be made available for scouts at Press Row the Press Boxes of all home games. Access to Press Row and the Press Box in Dix Stadium, the M.A.C. Center and all other fields is reserved for properly-credentialed individuals only.
For basketball games, quick stats are provided to broadcasters during timeouts. At football and basketball, NCAA box scores are distributed at halftime with a complete NCAA Final Box Score and Play-by-Play available after the game in the Press Room or Press Boxes. Refreshments will also be served in the Press Box for the media prior to each men's and women's basketball as well as football game.
INTERVIEWS
The best way to reach all of the Kent State coaches is through the Athletic Media Relations Office. Please feel free to contact us for assistance in arranging an interview by contacting Josh Padilla (jpadill3@kent.edu), Jay Fiorello (jfiorel2@kent.edu), or Kellan Godfrey (kgodfre4@kent.edu). Please arrange all player interviews through the Athletic Communications Office, allowing at least one day in advance, if possible. We will try to accommodate every request, taking the players' classroom and practice schedules into account.
Kent State coaches and players will be available for post-game interviews following a brief cooling-off period. For football, the head coach and selected players will be made available in the Linebacker Room at Dix Stadium. Visiting coaches availability can be arranged with the visiting team communications office. For basketball, head coaches will be available in the GFTV Studio of the M.A.C. Center after all games. Kent State players may also be brought to the media room for interviews by request. Post-game policy for visitors may vary at the teams' discretion. For all other sports, contact the Athletic Communications contact for the sport after the game to arrange post-game interviews at the site. Media representatives are advised to contact the visiting SID with special requests.
Most practices are open to the media. However, all media are requested to make an advance call to the Kent State Athletic Communications Office to check on the status of practice for a particular day. Failure to do so may result in an individual's removal from the venue.

WORKING CREDENTIALS
Working press and photography credential applications for all home football and basketball games must be made prior to game day with the Kent State Athletic Communications Office either by phone or email. For all media credential requests, please contact Josh Padilla (Football, Baseball | jpadill3@kent.edu), Kellan Godfrey (Men's Basketball, Softball | kgodfre4@kent.edu), Jay Fiorello (Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Indoor Track & Field | jfiorel2@kent.edu), Miles Garrison (Gymnastics, Field Hockey | agarris8@kent.edu), or Jackson Lawrence (Soccer, Wrestling, Lacrosse | jlawre34@kent.edu).
Passes not mailed in advance will be held for pick-up at the "Will Call" office at Dix Stadium (football) and the M.A.C. Center (basketball).
Press Row for basketball is located on the second floor of the M.A.C. Center in the arena's northwest corner. For reference, the visitors bench is in the northwest corner of the basketball court. Seating is limited to working media, visiting radio, professional scouts and accredited school officials. Requests from television stations for highlight cameras will be granted space in football and basketball games on a first-come, first-serve basis. In the case of televised games, all efforts will be made to give the production crew access to prime locations for the broadcast.
PARKING
Parking is free and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Directions to campus athletic facilities are available on this website.
