Kent State Drops Series Opener Against Akron

KENT – Kent State Softball ( 17-17, 7-6 MAC) dropped their series opener against the University of Akron on Tuesday by a final score of 13-5. The Golden Flashes found themselves in a hole early in the ball game that proved to be insurmountable.

Golden Flashes Host the School Down the Road in Midweek Home Series

KENT – Kent State Softball (17-16, 7-5 MAC) seeks to build on their recent weekend sweep when they host the University of Akron Zips at Devine Diamond. The series gets underway on Tuesday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m., and ends on Wednesday, April 8 with a doubleheader with 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. start times. The series is part of the Mid-American Conference's regional rivalry week with four series taking place between traditional conference rivals.

Aaralyn Nogay Surpasses 100 Career Hits as Golden Flashes Sweep Bowling Green

KENT – The Kent State University Softball team (17-16, 7-5 MAC) completed their three=game series sweep of Bowling Green State University on Saturday afternoon winning the contest 5-2. Aaralyn Nogay was just a home run away from a cycle as she surpassed 100 career hits in the ballgame. The sweep is Kent State's second of a MAC opponent this season, as they also remain unbeaten at home.
