Women's Golf Remains a Top Ten Team in National Rankings

With back-to-back tournament wins in three events already this season, Kent State is ranked No. 8 in the nation by both Golfstat and Golfweek.
In the first rankings by Golfstat this year, five Golden Flashes are ranked in the Top 100 individually. Taylor Kim is the No. 17 player in the nation, Wad Phaewchimplee is No. 44, Josée Doyon is No. 71, Amira Alexander is No. 85 and freshman Michaela Finn comes in at No. 92.
Kent State sits one spot ahead of 2015 National Champion Stanford in both rankings. In nine rounds, the Golden Flashes have an average score of 288.22 and +1.56 over par. Against the current Top 25 teams, the team is 8-1 with a 138.89 stroke advantage. Individually, all five Top 100 students have season scoring averages below 74.
The fall season will conclude at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas, October 19-20.
