
Men's Basketball Television Dates Announced

CLEVELAND - The Mid-American Conference has announced its initial television schedule for the 2016-17 men's basketball schedule, with Kent State featured multiple times nationally and regionally this year. The schedule is the largest men's and women's basketball television schedule in league history.Â
To start the season, Kent State will have four games scheduled to broadcast nationally. In addition, several MAC weekend dates could be adjusted to Friday two weeks out to accommodate for television. Kent State's first nationally televised game will appear on ESPN3, as well as the Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) & Time Warner Cable Sports Channel (TWCS), when the Golden Flashes take on Wright State on Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.
The Golden Flashes have two additional December dates scheduled for ESPNU, starting with a Dec. 21 contest at Oregon State at 11 p.m. EST. On Dec. 27, ESPNU will televise Kent State's matchup in Austin against Texas at 7 p.m. EST.Â
One of Kent State's weekend MAC games has already shifted to a Friday national TV date, with Kent State's game at Ohio being moved to Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. The contest will be televised on ESPNU.Â
