
Eiben Named CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District

KENT, Ohio- Kent State soccer's Jaime Eiben has been named to the Academic All-District First Team for District 5 as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
Eiben, a junior, holds a 3.99 grade-point average as an actuarial mathematics major. In 2015, Eiben was named a MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete and Academic All-MAC, as well as OCSA Academic All-Ohio. Eiben was one of five women's soccer players from the Mid-American Conference selected by CoSIDA from District 5.
This season Eiben has started every match in the Golden Flashes' backline, logging over 1,300 minutes played. Eiben and the Golden Flashes defense own a 0.72 goals against average, the best mark in the MAC. Eiben has also been involved in the scoring for Kent State, registering one goal and two assists.
The Golden Flashes wrap-up the regular season on the road today at 3 p.m. against the Ohio Bobcats and will host a MAC Tournament quarterfinal match on Sunday at 1 p.m.Â
