Hall Selected as Preseason All-MAC East Division

CLEVELAND - Kent State senior forward Jimmy Hall has been selected to the 2016-17 Preseason All-Mid-American Conference East Division Team, as selected by the league's 12 head coaches and a 24-member MAC News Media Panel.
Hall enters the 2016-17 season as a two-time First Team All-MAC selection and a NABC All-District Honoree. Last year, Hall led Kent State in scoring with 16.4 points per game (sixth in MAC), 7.9 rebounds per game (sixth in MAC), 212 field goals made (third in MAC), 2.9 offensive rebounds per game (third in MAC), 5.0 defensive rebounds per game (eighth in MAC) and 7 double-doubles (seventh in MAC).
Hall is looking to capitalize in the final season of a three-year career at Kent State. He has already met the 1,000 point scoring mark and will look to move up the all-time scoring list with the Golden Flashes this season.
In addition, Kent State was picked to finish fourth in the East Division, with one vote as the preseason pick to win the MAC Tournament. The Golden Flashes enter the season as a mystery to many, with 11 student-athletes that are either new to the team or sat out last season. Kent State also returns seniors Deon Edwin and Jon Fleming, as well as sophomores Jaylin Walker and Jalen Avery.
