CLEVELAND, Ohio- Kent State soccer's Hayden Pascoe has been named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week following a multiple-goal match against Ohio in the regular season finale last Thursday.
Pascoe, a junior, scored two goals in a match for the first time in her career, the second of which was an overtime game-winner with just four second left in the first overtime period giving Kent State the 3-2 win.
The first goal Pascoe scored tied the match at two and gave momentum back to the Golden Flashes just two minutes after Ohio took lead in the match. Kristen Brots played a cross into the box to a crashing Pascoe who headed the ball passed the OU keeper.
Pascoe's game-winning goal was a beauty as she found space after receiving a pass from Amanda Reed and curled a shot over the Bobcat's keeper and into the upper corner of the net as time was winding down in the first overtime period.
On the season, Pascoe now has five goals to go with her five assists.
The No. 2 seed Golden Flashes are slated to take on Central Michigan in a MAC Tournament semifinal match on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. from Dix Stadium.Â
