Wiler, Jover Llorens Among MAC Postseason Honorees

The Mid-American Conference announced its postseason awards on Thursday with eight Golden Flashes receiving honors.
Head Coach Kathleen Wiler was named Coach of the Year for leading the team to a perfect 6-0 conference season. Berta Jover Llorens earned Freshman of the Year honors for her efforts. Jover Llorens has played nearly every minute of every game in her first year at Kent State.
Kent State's 2016 All-MAC First Team members include Ines Delpech, Alison Harmatz and Madison Thompson. Alexis Madeira, Silvia Figa Malgosa and Andrea Rinehart were named to the All-MAC Second Team.
Delpech and Thompson repeat with First Team honors while Harmatz earned Second Team recognition in 2015. Rinehart also was named to the All-MAC Second Team in 2015. This marks the first All-MAC honors for Madeira while Figa Malgosa made the All-Tournament Team last season.
The No. 1 Golden Flashes will begin postseason play as they take on No. 4 Ball State in the first game of the MAC Tournament Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Murphy-Mellis Field. Friday's winners will advance to the championship game Saturday at 2 p.m.
