KENT, Ohio - The Kent State University men's basketball team returns the M.A.C. Center to begin a four-game home stand against Grambling State Friday at 7 p.m.

-Â Â Â Â The Kent State Golden Flashes return to the M.A.C. Center after ending a nine-day road trip Sunday. The trip ended with a tightly fought loss at Northeastern, 73-70.
-Â Â The road trip also included three games in Florida as part of the Gulf Coast Showcase. The Golden Flashes ended that tournament at 2-2.Â
-Â Â Â Â Friday's game against Grambling State opens up the longest home stand of the year, a four-game slate that runs from Dec. 2 to Dec. 18.

-Â Â Â Â This is the first meeting ever between Grambling State and Kent State.Â
-Â Â Â Â The Golden Flashes are 1-0 so far this year against teams from the Southwestern Athletic Conference, having defeated Mississippi Valley State, 93-63, in the team's home opener on Nov. 16.Â
-Â Â Â Â The win over Mississippi Valley State was the program's first over a team from the Southwestern Athletic Conference.Â
-Â Â Â Â Grambling State comes to the M.A.C. Center with a 3-5 record. The team has picked up wins over North Carolina A&T, Savannah State and most recently Jarvis Christian. Their losses include battles against top teams such as Providence and Virginia. On Wednesday night, they faced off against fellow MAC school Miami and lost, 78-76, in overtime. Â
-Â Â Â Â Friday's game will feature two of the nation's best offensive rebounding teams. Grambling State enters the game ranked 61st in offensive rebounding percentage, while Kent State ranks 18th.
-Â Â Â Â Shawn Walker is in year three with Grambling State after a long tenure with his alma mater, Elizabeth City State.Â
