Delophont Named MAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State senior Dior Delophont was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday, Feb. 16. At the Spire Invitational this past weekend, Delophont claimed first place titles in both the triple jump and high jump.
In her first time competing in the triple jump this season, Delophont posted a mark of 12.89m (42' 3.5"). Not only was her jump the best in the MAC, but it is also tied for 25th in the nation.
In the high jump, Delophont needed only one attempt to clear the 1.73m (5' 8") mark, giving her the victory over Kent State junior Lauren Pannel, who needed two attempts to complete the jump.
The Golden Flashes return to the Kent State Field House Saturday, Feb. 20 for the Kent State Tune Up in preparation for the Indoor MAC Championships.
