The National Academic Team Award is given to programs with a 3.0 grade point average or higher. The team posted an impressive 3.49 this past fall semester with 18 students achieving a 3.0 or higher.

Additionally, Ahlers, Delpech and Figa Malgosa were recognized as Scholars of Distinction, the NFHCA's highest academic honor, for having a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher. Sophomores Delpech and Figa-Malgosa earned the honor for the second straight year while it is the first such award for freshman Ahlers.
Kent State's success in the classroom is also mirrored on the field as the team has won back-to-back Mid-American Conference regular season and tournament titles.
