KENT, Ohio โย Kent State volleyball head coachย Don Gromalaย announced the addition of Claire Tulisiak (Cincinnati, Ohio) for the 2016 season.
A 5'7" defensive specialist/libero Tulisiak helped Ursuline Academy advance to the regional championship match each of the past two seasons.
"We are very fortunate to add a student-athlete of Claire's caliber this late in the recruiting season," Gromala said. "Claire's biggest asset is her experience. She has been playing volleyball for a long time, and at a very high level as a part of very successful teams. She will add to our backcourt immediately with her great passing touch and tough serving."
As a senior, she helped the Lions win the Girls Great Catholic League championship and was named a Cincinnati Enquirer Division 1 Second Team All-Star and All-GGCL Second Team. Tulisiak was third in the GGCL this past Fall with 376 digs and fourth with 40 service aces.
During the 2015 club season, she was part of the Elevation Volleyball Club 17-1 team that finished 3rd at the Mideast 17 Open Qualifier and won the Northern Lights 17 Open Qualifier.
The fourth member of Kent State's incoming freshman class, Tulisiak joins Annie Ennesser (Dowagiac, Mich.),ย Myla King (Statesville, N.C.) andย Ashley Makruski (Amherst, Ohio), who each signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Flashes back in November.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
