Coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history, Kent State baseball Head Coach Jeff Duncan is committed to continuing to lead the program.
"Kent State baseball has a great tradition and history and I plan on continuing to add to that in the coming years," said Duncan. "We accomplished a lot in 2016, and I look forward to working toward another great season in 2017."
Duncan is 111-59 in three years at the helm of the Golden Flashes, including a 44-14 mark this past season, posting the third-most wins in program history. In his first season the team won the MAC Tournament and went on to compete at NCAA Regionals. After a MAC East title in 2015, the Golden Flashes went 20-4 in conference play this year to win the regular season championship and made it to the MAC Tournament championship game.
Additionally, Duncan is just the second coach in Kent State history to have two students earn Academic All-America honors under his guidance. The team improved academically during the past three seasons as it posted its highest in-season term grade point average ever in 2016. Baseball currently has the highest cumulative GPA out of all the Golden Flashes' men's programs.
