Springfield, Mo. - Kent State men's golf alum Mackenzie Hughes earned his PGA Tour card with a win Sunday at the Web.com Tour's Price Cutter Charity Championship.
Hughes hit a wedge to within 2 feet on the final hole and made birdie to win by one shot with a score of 264 (67-67-64-66), 24 under par. The clutch finish arrived moments after Richie Werenski eagled the 18th hole to join Hughes briefly atop the leaderboard. Watch the tournament-winning put here:
Hughes, a member of the Kent State men's golf class of 2012, earned his spot on the Web.com Tour after finishing in the Top-45 at the Web.com Tour Q-School Tournament in December of 2015.
