
Hellstrom Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio- For the second time this season, Kent State soccer's Jenna Hellstrom has been named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.
In Kent State's 2-1 win over Indiana State on Friday night, Hellstrom scored the game-winning goal and recorded the second assist on Kristen Brots goal in the 15th minute of the game. Hellstrom's three points give her a career total of 81, a new Kent State record.
Hellstrom is now tied with teammate Hayden Pascoe for first in the MAC in assists per game (0.4), while ranking second in several other categories including: points (12), points per game (2.4) and goals per game (1.0).
Kent State soccer returns to action Friday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. when they travel to Toledo to take on the Rockets to open-up conference play for the 2016 season. Â
