
Field House to Host Blue and Gold Wrestle Offs Wednesday

Kent State wrestling fans can check out the 2017-18 Golden Flashes for the first time Wednesday night, Oct. 25, at the Blue and Gold Wrestle Offs. Â Admission is free inside the Kent State Field House with the opening matches slated to begin at 7:15 p.m. on two mats.Â
Wednesday's winners will earn the inside track to early-season lineup spots. The preliminary schedule has 20 matches on tap. Three weight classes (125, 141, 157) will have four-man tournament formats. One weight class (184) is scheduled for a round robin format, while five weights have head-to-head matchups.

Kent State hosts a four-team dual event on Friday, Nov. 3, inside the M.A.C. Center, beginning at noon. The Golden Flashes will take on Mercyhurst North East and Lake Erie. Later that night Kent State will travel to Clarion, Pa., to take on Utah Valley.
