KENT, Ohio – Kent State University athletics is giving alumni, families and fans a chance to directly impact the Golden Flashes teams they support through its brand new crowdfunding campaign. In its first 10 days, the campaign has picked up momentum and in reach of hitting key goals for each team.
Kent State athletics' crowdfunding campaign is a new initiative that allows supporters to donate directly to a team for its respective goals. The campaign is a collection of 14 fundraising goals, each developed by the coaching staffs of Kent State's teams.
"Each of our athletic programs have specific needs, and the crowdfunding campaign allows alumni and fans to play an integral role in supporting their team," said Deputy Athletics Director Casey Cegles. "This is a unique opportunity for Flash supporters to push us towards our goal of graduating student-athletes and winning championships."
Fans can access the crowdfunding site and give by clicking HERE. Fans can browse each individual fundraiser on the campaign site and read about the fundraising goals of each team. Goals range from advancing technology to improving facilities and more.
