Flashes Host Eagles Wednesday Night

Kent State (12-11, 6-5) will try to get back to winning ways Wednesday night when Eastern Michigan (6-16, 1-9) visits the M.A.C. Center for a 7 p.m. game.

The Matchup
• Kent State is 35-17 all-time against Eastern Michigan, including an 86-67 win earlier this season
• Three Flashes, Larissa Lurken, Jordan Korinek and Larissa Lurken, all recorded double-doubles in that game
• Eastern Michigan won both of last year's meeting, 72-51 at home in January and 73-60 in the first round of the MAC Tournament
• Prior to the Flashes' win this season, the Eagles had won 11 straight

Korinek Honored
• In Saturday's game at Buffalo, Jordan Korinek became the 21st player in Kent State women's basketball history to score 1,000 career points
• Her layup just before halftime gave her the achievement
• Teammate Larissa Lurken became a 1,000 point scorer earlier this season
• Korinek was named the MAC East Player of the Week after the feat and after recording a double-double last Wednesday

Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge Returns
• The Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge will resume this weekend when Kent State heads to Akron for a 2 p.m. game
• Kent State has won every challenge since its inception in 2011-2012
• The competition awards points to the head-to-head winners in men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, women's soccer, softball, men's and women's indoor track and field, men's and women's outdoor track and field and volleyball
• This is Crystal Clinic's first year sponsoring the Wagon Wheel Challenge
• Akron currently leads this year 3.5 to 1.5
