
Jagers Earns Second Team All-America Honors

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Kent State track and field's Reggie Jagers III (Cleveland, Ohio) earned Second Team All-America honors with a 14th place finish in the men's weight throw Saturday at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Texas A&M University.
Jagers' top mark of the day was 20.66m (67' 9.5"), coming on his first attempt, which had him in ninth place after the first round. The redshirt senior finished the day in 14th, becoming the seventh Golden Flash to earn All-America honors in the men's weight throw.
Jagers is now a four-time All-American for his career, having previously earned the honor three times in the discus.
Johnnie Jackson of LSU captured the weight throw championship with a mark of 22.88m (75'0.75").
With the indoor season now over, the Golden Flashes now await the start of their outdoor season set begin on March 29 with the Teas Relays.
