KENT, Ohio - The Kent State University men's basketball team (18-13, 10-8 MAC) will look to secure its spot in Cleveland when the Flashes face the Central Michigan Chippewas (16-15, 6-12 MAC) at home at 7 p.m.

- The Kent State men's basketball team begins the 2017 Mid-American Conference Tournament at home Monday against the 11th seeded Central Michigan Chippewas at 7 p.m.
- Fans can purchase general admission and lower reserve tickets NOW from the ticket office using the link above or calling (330) 672-2244. At 2 p.m. Sunday, unsold season tickets will be available for anyone to purchase. Ticket prices are as follows:

-The ticket office is open Saturday until 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Monday, the ticket office opens at 8:30 a.m. and runs until game time.
- Kent State finished MAC play at 10-8, earning the sixth seed in the tournament. The winner of Monday night's game will play the third seed, Buffalo, Thursday evening in the quarterfinal night cap. That game will begin 30 minutes after the 6:30 p.m. game finishes, estimated at roughly 9 p.m.
- Kent State is coming off a loss to its rivals Akron, 66-56, Friday, but are still hot at the right time of the year. The Flashes went 6-2 in the month of February and are winners of five of the last six games. That run includes wins over the top-three teams in the MAC: Akron, Ohio and Buffalo.
- Monday's game will be the 88th matchup between Kent State and Central Michigan. The Flashes hold a 45-32 record all-time over the Chippewas.
- The Flashes dropped their regular season meeting with Central Michigan, but have won 14 of the last 17 games in the series, dating back to 1998. This season, the Flashes and Chippewas played to a 105-98 overtime battle. The game was a wild affair, with back-and-forth action leading into the overtime period. Central Michigan went the entire overtime without missing a shot.
- Kent State is 27-10 against Central Michigan at home. Prior to this season, they had not been defeated by them in the M.A.C. Center since Feb. 26, 1997.
- Central Michigan enters the game at 16-15. The Chippewas were hot the last time they were in Kent, with the win that day serving as the fourth in six games. However, they are attempting to break a seven game losing streak Monday.
- Keno Davis is in year five with Central Michigan, with previous head coaching stops at Providence and Drake.
