KENT, Ohio – The No. 12 Kent State University men's golf team will close the regular season at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State April 22-23.
The tournament begins Saturday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Sunday's final round will tee off on holes one and 10 of the Scarlett Course from 8-10 a.m.
Competing against the Flashes are: Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, No. 10 Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.
The tournament and course is familiar to the Flashes, having won the tournament five times in the past. Kent State holds more tournament titles than any other team outside of hosts Ohio State. Last year, Chase Johnson nearly won the event, tying for fourth overall.
Kent State enters this year's event having won three of their last five tournaments. Last time out, Kent State fought through tough conditions to win the Boilermaker Invitational. The Flashes finished five strokes ahead of hosts Purdue, and at least nine strokes ahead of the rest of the field.
