Graduates and Seniors to be Honored this Weekend at Schoonover Stadium

Kent State (31-13, 15-3) will host its final weekend of play May 12-14 as Miami (20-30, 6-12) visits for a three-game series. Game one is Friday at 6 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. game on Saturday. The finale will be Sunday at 1 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
• Kent State is 109-80-1 all-time against Miami
• Last season, the Flashes took the series meeting at home, winning game one 10-3, losing Saturday's contest 5-2, then taking the finale by a score of 4-3
• In 2015, the Flashes also won the series, taking the first two games in Oxford before dropping the third which was game two of a double header
• Kent State has won the series every year dating back to 2010 when Miami was able to take two out of three
• The RedHawks are coming off a series loss to Buffalo
• Prior to that, they took the series at Bowling Green
• Miami is batting .260 as a team and has a combined ERA of 5.04
WEEKEND EVENTS
• A lot of festivities will be taking place this weekend at Schoonover Stadium
• Saturday will be the on-field graduation ceremony where all players who are graduating will be honored at approximately 3:45 p.m.
• All alumni are also asked to attend the game and enjoy a moment being honored on the field
• Sunday will be Senior Day with the team's four seniors being recognized in a pre-game ceremony at 12:35 p.m.
• As part of Mother's Day, all moms in attendance will be welcomed onto the field to stand with their son for the National Anthem
• We ask fans to wear pink to Sunday's game
MAC TOURNAMENT OUTLOOK
• Kent State's magic number to clinch the one seed and a regular season championship is four
• If the tournament was to start now, the Golden Flashes would have the No. 1 seed at 15-3
• Central Michigan would be the No. 2 at 13-5
• Following the Chippewas would be No. 3 Ball State (12-9) with Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan getting the No. 4 and 5 seeds at 9-9
• The final three seeds would be filled by Ohio, Buffalo and Western Michigan, who are all currently 8-10 in conference play
• The tournament is held at All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio, May 24-28
