KENT, Ohio -Â The Kent State softball team's regular season doubleheader finale against Bowling Green has been postponed due to rainfall that caused unplayable conditions at the Diamond at Dix. The teams will attempt to play the games on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
However, the decision did not prevent the Golden Flashes from honoring their six-player senior class that includes Brooke Dodson, Maddy Grimm, Janel Hayes, Ronnie Ladines, Paige McCrary and Nicole Teefy prior to leaving the field. The Flashes also presented Bowling Green's five graduating players with flowers.
Kent State (25-25, 13-9 MAC) clinched a spot in next week's Mid-American Conference Tournament by winning the series opener on Friday, 2-0. Fans can follow Sunday's games via live stats.
