
Conners to Compete at the US Open

KENT, Ohio – Kent State University alum Corey Conners will be competing in the US Open this week in Erin Hills Wisconsin.
Conners will tee off in his first round on the first hole at 1:30 p.m. EST in round one Thursday. He'll be playing alongside Jack Maguire and Ben Kohles. That same group will tee off at 7:45 a.m. from the 10th tee on Friday.
Television coverage for the first two rounds will take place on FS1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by prime time coverage on Fox.
Conners qualified for the U.S. Open by winning his sectional qualifier at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Ohio. Conners established his presence from the start, posting a 9-under par 61 in the first round. He followed up with a 67 in round two to win the medalist honor.
Conners is currently 33rd this season on the Web.com Tour, having earned a combined total of $60,378. He's had two top-10 finishes this year, including a fifth-place result at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic.
