Tollerud's Pole Vault Victory Highlights Saturday Track and Field Action

Senior Sam Tollerud won the women's pole vault as seven members of the Kent State track and field program were in action on Saturday.
Tollerud was the lone Golden Flash to compete at the SPIRE Midwest Open and won the pole vault with a winning height of 13'-0.25".
At the Findlay Classic & Elite Throws, senior Gabrielle Figueroa led the way with a third-place finish in the weight throw elite competition with a mark of 66'-09.75".
Redshirt senior David Paliscak and freshman Jake Wickey also competed in the elite division of throwing events. Paliscak took fifth in the shot put (56'-10.00") and Wickey
The track and field programs returns to action next weekend at the Akron Invitational on Feb. 2-3.
