Holt Earns MAC Golfer of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Kent State senior Ian Holt (Stow, Ohio) was named Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week on Thursday, after finishing third at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, Mar. 25-27 at the Bulls Bay Golf Course in Charleston, S.C. Holt's three-round total of 10-under 206 led the Golden Flashes to a second place team finish.
Holt finished ahead of five Top 50 golfers, two of whom were competing for No. 9 Auburn. He led the tournament after 36 holes, shooting a 7- under par in his second round.
Distance never troubled the senior throughout the tournament as he birdied 16 times.
On the season, Holt carries a 70.67 average and now has nine rounds under 70.
Kent State returns to action April 7-8 at the Aggie Invitational in Texas.
