
Pimnipa Panthong Named WGCA Second Team All-American

KENT, Ohio- Â As announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Wednesday, Kent State women's golf's Pimnipa Panthong has been named Second Team All-American for the 2017-18 season.
This marks Panthong's second Second Team honor, as she was named as a Second Team All-American last season as a freshman during the team's national championship run.
Panthong, the No. 11 amateur in the world, earned First Team All-Conference honors, also named the 2018 Â Mid-American Golfer of the year. On the final watch list for the ANNIKA Award this season, she will play on the Palmer Cup international team in summer 2018.
The Second Team Honorable Mention list announced today joins the First Team that was announced earlier this week.
Founded in 1983, the WGCA is a non-profit organization that represents collegiate women;s golf coaches. The organization represents over 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting, and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
