2016-17 SOPHOMORE SEASON
• 2017 Mid-American Conference Individual Champion
• All-MAC Selection
• Held a scoring average of 72.29
• Started the spring off with three straight top-10 finishes, including a second-place showing at the Seahawk Invitational.
• Finished 29th at the Washington Regional.
• Made five fall appearances in the lineup for Kent State
• Placed in the top-30 in every tournament of the fall, including a seventh place finish at the Cleveland State Invitational
• Set a new career-best round of 67 at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate
• Earned Herb Kane Men's Golf Endowed Scholarship

• Won the Icelandic Match Play Championship
2015-16 FRESHMAN SEASON
• Earned MAC Freshman of the Year honors
• Named to All-MAC Second Team
• Named MAC Golfer of the Week after leading Flashes with fourth place finish at General Hackler Championship (70-68-72)
• Competed in all five fall tournaments for the Golden Flashes, averaging a score of 74.2 per round
• Earned a season best finish, T7, (73-73-69) at the Cleveland State Invitational
• Placed T17 at the Gopher Invitational, shooting 8-over par (72-76-73)
• Shot a low round of 69 at the Cleveland State Invitational
• Recipient of the Yank Heisler Endowment for the Men's Golf Program and the Doug and Bertha Sims Golf Scholarship
SUMMER 2015 NOTES
• Captured first place at the Duke of York Championsip with scores of 69-68
• Placed 11th at the Icelandic National Championship (75-73-73-72)
• Earned 14th at the Junior Orange Bowl (73-67-72-74) and second place at the European Boys Team Championship (67-68).
• Also finished 24th at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley and 32nd at The Amateur Championship.
PRIOR TO KENT STATE:
• Was the top-ranked player in Iceland and was No. 105 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
• A member of the Icelandic Men's National Team, Sveinbergsson captured the prestigious Duke of York Trophy held at the historic Aberdeen Golf Club in Scotland in 2014.
• Won the Icelandic Junior Stroke Play (68-68), as well as the Eimskipsmotarodin 5 – Icelandic Stroke Play with scores of 68-73-72-71.
• Earned impressive third-place finishes at both the Finnish Amateur and the Dutch Open, a professional event.
• In 2013, Sveinbergsson claimed the European Boys Challenge Trophy held in Slovakia (72-69-70) and also the US Kids European Championship.
