SCOUTING THE FLASHES

Kent State posted a team season-high score March 2 against nationally-ranked Ohio State, but the Buckeyes were nearly flawless on their final two rotations to defeat the Golden Flashes 196.925-195.775, in Columbus, Ohio.

Sophomore Marie Case (Erie, Pa.) earned her second MAC Gymnast of the Week honor for the season after winning the all-around against Ohio State. Case scored a 39.250, just off her MAC-leading mark from a week ago, to claim all-around honors.

Senior Rachel Goldenberg (Doylestown, Pa.) tied her career best on the vault against the Buckeyes while junior Lauren Wozniak (Pittsburgh, Pa.) set a career-high with scores of 9.900, which tied for second overall. Rachel Guida (Cumberland, R.I.) and Whitnee Johnson (Columbia, Mo.) also had personal bests on the vault.
