MAC Announces Operational Plan for Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference announced Monday an operational plan for Men's & Women's Cross Country to conduct the 2020-21 season. The plan, approved by the MAC Directors of Athletics, includes recommendations for Men's & Women's Cross Country to conduct the 2020-21 season, while mitigating health and safety concerns related to COVID-19.
The MAC Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships will take place Saturday, November 21 (Host TBD).
"Our student-athletes have been put through the ringer this year, as we all have. For cross country to be the first MAC Championship reinstated this year is huge," said cross country coach James Croft. "The MAC championship meet is being held on the same day NCAAs usually is. Our student-athletes have been building up for this season since June, and I think they are just ready to get back to competing."
These recommendations are and will be subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in accordance with state and local health guidelines.
