
Gymnastics Release 2022-23 Schedule

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State women's gymnastics team released its 2022-23 regular season schedule on Friday. Head Coach Brice Biggin and the Golden Flashes are set to compete in nine regular season competitions before hosting the Mid-American Conference Championship on Mar. 18 at the M.A.C. Center.
Fans can see this year's squad in action for the first time at the annual Blue and Gold Meet on Dec. 9.
The regular season kicks off with a pair of away meets, with the Flashes traveling to Morgantown, W.Va. on Jan. 13 for a tri-meet with West Virigina and Maryland and the Tennessee Collegiate Classic on Jan. 20 in Lebanon, Tenn.
The Flashes will host three regular season home meets this year, the first of which is on Jan. 29. Kent State's unique "Beauty and the Beast" event, which features the gymnastics and wrestling teams competing simultaneously inside of the M.A.C. Center, makes its return for the first time since 2019. Wrestling will battle Clarion while gymnastics goes up against Western Michigan. The team will also host home meets at the M.A.C. Center against Ball State on Feb. 19 and Central Michigan on Mar. 12.
Kent State will host the MAC Championships for the first time since 2015 on Mar. 18. Eleven days later, NCAA Regionals will take place on between Mar. 29 and Apr. 1 at six predetermined sites, with the top two teams and the top two all-around competitors who are not on an advancing team move on to the 2023 NCAA Championships on April 13-15 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
